Description: Ohio Valley Regional Development Commission is seeking a student internship candidate to help with a multimedia documentary project profiling the recent Appalachian Community Grant Program project awards and their impact on the communities and the Appalachian Ohio region.

Internship activities will include capturing on-location B roll project footage both before and after construction gets underway and potentially capturing interviews with both community members and other subjects who are connected to the project. The supervisor will work with you to identify and facilitate interview participants, schedules and media releases. Mileage will be reimbursed for on-site travel to locations. The candidate will be responsible for photography, videography, videos effects, and final edits, under the supervision of documentary coordinators.

Candidates will need to provide their own equipment and software to complete the project. Project direction and supervision will be provided in collaboration with the documentary team consisting of the Ohio Valley Regional Development Commission staff and project partners.

Location: Aside from on-site footage capture, subject interviews and required meetings, much of this project can be completed remotely.

Pay: $15/hour (undergrad) $20/hour (graduate), plus mileage reimbursement; intern will provide their own transportation and submit regular mileage reports for reimbursement to supervisor.

Estimated project hours: Up to 120 hours total, with the potential for additional hours based on project needs.

Project deliverables: Ongoing weekly starting around May 12, 2025, and completed before August 15, 2025.

To apply: Candidate should email a resume and work samples or portfolio to Gina Collinsworth (gcollinsworth@ovrdc.org) by April 4, 2025.
