Work Ride Solutions Program Rolls Out

The Work Ride Solutions program learning launch team spent the day at the Brown County Fair this week, promoting sign ups for the free rides available to and from work for a limited time, starting September 30 through November 1, 2024.

The program is made available through the National Center for Mobility Management (NCMM) Learning Launch. The team also asked fair goers to participate in the Region 7 Transportation Needs Surveys. The surveys have been invaluable in learning what transportation services are being used by residents and also what needs are not being addressed. It was through early survey results that the team learned the real need in transportation was assistance to people who needed a ride to work, and the grant-funded Work Ride Solutions program will be used to collect real-time data, informing how to move forward with a more permanent solution.

The learning launch is available in Adams, Brown and Highland counties only and transportation is provided by FRS Transportation. Contact FRS for more details and to get signed up.
