Candi Cox has joined OVRDC as a Development Specialist. Candi previously worked for over 18 years in the Juvenile Court and Prosecutor’s Office of Pike County. Her experience with project casework documentation, confidentiality and research will be a valuable contribution allowing her transferable skills to enhance the work of our expanding planning department team.
“I wanted to do something different and take on new challenges professionally. This will be clerical combined with project development, and something totally different than I’ve ever done. I’m ready to learn and excited to work on projects and see them completed for community improvements,” said Candi Cox.
Now that the first weeks and the spring Full Commission meeting are behind her, Candi is looking forward to working with the various partner organizations and officials who make up the regional commission.
“The first few weeks have been great. Everyone is so nice and helpful to show me the ropes,” said Candi.
Candi has been married to her husband Tim for 25 years. They have two daughters and two grandsons. “I love spending time outdoors with my family, especially the grandkids,” she said. “Our family likes to travel to Disney World and the beach, and we are always looking to book a trip to one or both!”
Candi said there is no such thing as a bad dessert and for her employee birthday celebration with co-workers she will probably choose ice cream.
