Highland County Coordinated Transit Plan: Your Feedback is Needed
The Ohio Valley Regional Development Commission (OVRDC) and Highland County have begun a process to update the Highland County Coordinated Transit Plan. The process began in April 2021 and will wrap up in October 2021.
The Coordinated Transit Plan is a four-year coordinated plan designed for Public and Human Services Transportation. The purpose of the Plan is to understand unmet transportation needs of the people in Highland County, and to provide goals and priorities for agencies and companies providing transportation services to the community. The plan assists with securing funding for these services.
Whether you get around by driving your own car, using paratransit, or catching a ride with a friend, we want to hear from you! There are two ways to be involved:
- Take the Community Transportation Needs Survey by July 2, 2021 to share your opinions on transportation options in Highland County: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/HighlandPublicSurvey or download a printable copy at https://burtonplanning.com/highlandtransitplan/
- Attend one of the two virtual Community Transportation Needs Public Forums on Thursday, June 17 from 12PM – 1PM or 6PM – 7PM. These meetings will be held virtually via Zoom with a telephone call-in option. Recordings of the meetings will be available on the project website.
