The application for the GRIT program, which serves the counties of Adams, Brown, Highland, Pike, and Scioto, is now available at www.ovrdc.org/grit. The purpose of the program is to pay for operational costs and to provide virtual job training, virtual job centers, and related training and services consistent with the mission of the program for high school students and adults residing in the the counties served. The mission of the GRIT program is to address barriers to economic health of the identified region and attract economic development by improving the workforce. Workforce barriers include low wages, drug addiction/substance abuse, poverty, post-secondary educational attainment, access to high-speed internet, access to reliable childcare, and access to reliable transportation.
