This is an example of a web map layout we are trying out for our infrastructure asset collection program. The map will work on mobile as well as desktop platforms, although on slower 3G connections larger features may take longer to load. The hydrants are stored on the server as GeoJson files and the background map is a simple OSM Basemap by CartoDB. The map is written in Leaflet JavaScript and served via this web server. There is no GIS server so all the map rendering is client-side.
